High miles...Buy or pass?

I been wanting a Taco for a while now and waited to see if this year was going to be the year for a new model. Not happing this year as everyone knows. Anyway, I want to buy a used Taco and was wondering if high miles would scare you guys off from a purchase? Seems all I can find in older models are the ones with very high miles on them. Buying from anyone other that the original owner there is no way to know how it was cared for. Not only am I worried about the purchase of high mileage Taco, but also trying to re-sell it. Any insight would be appreciated, here is one of the Tacos I was looking at...

Thanks! and if I posted in the wrong place let me know.

Vic

If you're worried about resale value, then mileage is a factor and I'd think one would want to avoid high mileage. On the other hand, if you want a Taco and were planning to drive it until cost of repairs outweighs the benefit of keeping it, then I'd go off of condition versus what the odometer says. Just my two cents FWIW.

100K miles on a Tacoma is nothing. I agree with the prior post. I'd buy based on condition and service history. I would also trust my intuition and avoid trucks that appear to have just been cleaned up to look nice in order to sell unless there is a strong service history. My $.02....

+2 on both posts above...........there's nice miles & not so nice miles. Look it all over, ask questions, look for reasons to pay less and drive it at all speeds before buying.
