After 11 long years on the market since December 2003 in its current guise, prototypes of the second generation Nissan Titan have FINALLY been caught testing. The next 2016 Titan will debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, where it's predecessor did in January 2003 and as a concept in January 2001.
By those who have seen it last year, said it will be a mish-mash of 2G Tundra and P415 F-150, with Nissan cues.

Let me tell you about my Titan. 2004 replaced due to rot/damage/poor quality:

    Exhaust -rust
    Rear shocks- rust
    Windshield -cab flex
    Radiator -plastic cracked
    Brake caliper - seized
    Rear axle seal - leaking
Traded the truck last month (i bought it new) with 51500 miles.
    Good riddens.

It looked good, sounded good, and could pull your house off its foundation though.

I see Ford-style horizontal grille slats and Ford-style tail lights, on Tundra sheetmetal, with the ugliest mirrors in the industry...

Other info that can be gleamed from the photos:
    • Rear suspension has 4-leaf pack
    • Clear LED 3rd brake light
    • Rear disc brakes
    • Conventional antenna on the fender in lieu of sharkfin
    • Low-slung frame
    • No grille/vents in the front bumper (!)

Man that paint job is not likely to be their best seller.

Those mirrors are probably to be pulled out for towing with a box trailer/ mobile home is my guess. Yes they are ugly.

    MPG numbers?

I'm trying to get excited for this truck and it's just not working... something new in the diesel market which is nice to see.

I had an 04 Titan I bought brand new that I got rid of in three years. I had constant brake and tie rod problems with it, that despite lots of trips to the shop, never got resolved. At 75K miles it was in need of what would have been it's third set of brakes and rotors and it's fourth set of tires.

I bought it because the 97 pathfinder I had had before that had been a fantastic little SUV. I loved that thing, so when it was time to go back to a full sized truck, the Titan seemed logical.

I haven't had (or considered) a Nissan since.

Anything looks better than the concept truck. Exhaust pipe in last 2 pictures looks photoshopped also, totally out of place on a truck even with zebra tape all over it.

Not even in a zombie apocalypse? I'd drive a pinto wagon if it was giving to me in a zombie apocalypse but then again I'd end up crashing it and it explodes on me
