Regular Car Reviews are all really weird and most are really funny. there's one about a SAS'd 4runner that is pretty awesome.

Pontiac Solstice GXP. The definition of a "fun car". If you take one for a drive make sure it is a GXP and I would suggest a manual tranny.
Two seats, three pedals, and hardly any trunk. But loads of fun. One thing, any "fun car" will cost you money in maintenance and mods:D

Maintenance and insurance are expensive as hell on BMWs. A friend had a BMW motorcycle, a tune up was $1000.

Insurance will actually be less on it than the Journey we have now.

I'm still trying to talk her into the Audi, it should be a rocket ship. That may have just been the turbo lag though that made it seem quicker. This one is N/A, but a V6 with 25 more hp than the turbo I4 that I drove. Either car should be a rocket compared to the Journey and my truck.

From a pure performance perspective, yes. The vanity aspect is lacking with the Solstice. As well as the reliability, being a GM product.

My husband and I just sold one fun car (Corvette) to start looking for another fun car. LOL

We're actually looking for a 2009+ Z4. The 2009 was the first year with the hard retractable convertible top. Would love to have the twin-turbo, but they fetch a huge kinda price tag. Depends on what we find...of course.

Having trouble finding one that doesn't have that god awful red interior!!

That's funny, the red leather was the big selling point on the one we found. Lol.

No argument about it being a GM product. (Although our Tacos have parts made by GM divisions, mine built at the NUMMI plant) You said you were looking for a "fun car" not a status symbol. Status: BMW gets my vote.

I want an open wheel hot rod (32 Ford would be great but too expensive) but any early 1930s steel body would do with a (maybe a 327 to 350 Chevy)... sunny day driver only ... :D

I dunno...maybe its just the photos we're looking at. It just looks TOO red and too bright. LOL

They're very hard to come by around here - regardless of trim or package. Can't find any locally to even look at one in person let alone test drive one. We've gotta broaden our search out to even 400 miles. For that distance, it'd better have everything we want! :D

It was really beat up, really rough inside and out. My wife ended up changing her mind about wanting a car that small anyways. We ended up completely changing direction and bought a 2011 BMW 335i. Still super fun to drive and more practical than a roadster. Way faster than that Z4 as well.

My buddy has a '99 911. He drives it around town, takes it to the track, beats the hell out of it. It has been as reliable as a Honda Civic. Very solid year for Porsche.

I had an S2000 and it was put together very well, zero issues but the lack of low end got old. I will say it was the most solid vehicle I've owned.
