Well, after letting my wife have "50% say" in our last vehicle purchase, she chose a used 2012 GMC Acadia. My pleas to get a 4Runner were ignored. She liked the luxury the Acadia offered as well as the captains chairs instead of a bench seat for the back seats. Well we bought it used with 46k back in September. Here's what has happened to it since:

    - brakes and rotors replaced under 30 day warranty (grinding sound)
    - AC system sprung a leak. Evap coil had a whole in it. $1300 estimate to fix since it was out of warranty after that.
    - Power steering system contaminated with PSF instead of Dexron 6 fluid. Caused pinion seal to swell and squeak. $1000+ to fix based on quote.
    - Timing chain cover gasket leaking oil. Approx 1 quart lost per oil change.

After the oil leak, I'd had enough. Told my wife I was trading it in and picking it out this time. So, as of today I am a proud owner of a 2015 4Runner SR5!! It will be delivered tomorrow. I was wanting Barcelona Red with black interior but they only made 5 of those, and all 5 were either reserved or sold. I will first plasti dip the badges. Once new tires are mounted the wheels will be dipped as well. Already have stuff ordered for it...

    - Weathertech floor mats
    - New Tires!!! bye bye DUNFLOPS
    - Window tint appointment

Words cant describe how happy I am. I love having nothing but top quality Toyota vehicles in my garage now!

Thank you. Magnetic Gray was my second pic, so I'm still excited even though Barcelona Red wasn't available.

I never had my doubts in the first place. I think with my wife seeing how little maintenance my Tacoma takes, the reliability, and the MPG compared to that POS GMC, she finally got on board. She test drove one yesterday and really liked the ride and feel of it. :D

Something about the test drives then, because once my wife drove one she was on board with the purchase!

Just come on over and buy ya one :D

We've had it for 2 days and I love driving it. We actually debated as to who was driving it today! Haha

I saw the cheapness as well during the test drive, but my wife insisted on it because of the stupid captains chairs. Our SR5 is basic compared to the acadia, but it still has nav and all that so we are happy with it. I can see us having this thing for 10+ years.

Save up a couple years lol!!

Yeah I can't wait to start on it. I'll never say, "I ain't modding this one" ever again. Never works out that way. So far I've ordered some Husky Floor Mats. Haven't even taken it out in the snow yet until I get some new tires on it, the stock Dunlops suck. I'm thinking a leveling kit and a roof rack with a light bar is in it's future. Who knows, my mind always changes

Barcelona Red was our first choice but we like the Magentic Gray a lot. She texted me the other day and said she thinks she loves it! Score!!!

I definitely recommend it. They're nicer on the inside I think than the Tacoma but still sounds like a Tacoma when ya turn it on lol. I'll keep this one until it falls apart.

$34,800. Actually found it for that price out of state and my dealer matched it for me.

I'm only afraid that if I get into a t4r I will realize I don't need the Tacoma. Most of us dont, we just love the way they look and feel.

As much as I love the 4Runner, I couldn't go without my Tacoma. The times I need the open bed to haul something without worrying about getting the interior dirty makes me want to keep my Tacoma. As a homeowner I'm always buying something at Lowe's. Can't haul much in a 4Runner compared to the Tacoma.

Awesome! Still working on my wife to get a RAV4 or 4Runner depending on which I can get her to like more. Currently she is in a CX5 while it does get great mpg. The fit and finish are bad. Only time will tell.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I like the color, maybe it's just me, but I think it would be pretty cheesy if you and your old lady drove two rigs the exact same color, haha.

True, and I think you're in the minority of people who actually haul large objects in the bed. I agree for small to medium loads the Tacoma shines. That's one of the reasons I like it-even though I don't need to haul anything, if I ever do, I can. :)
    Cheesy, or professional!
