How many race cars do you know of that ADD weight for better performance? They're constantly removing weight. They're always adding light weight materials like carbon fibre and/or strong but light weight parts to replace the heavy versions.

As I said before, toyota would have to redesign a lot of things to get the most out of the light weight & short package.

Lots of AWD performance cars. It's not like Toyota's 4WD is super heavy since it's IFS.

If it wasn't a regular cab I would buy it - that thing looks like a Smart Car...er...Smart Truck. A V8 in a Taco would be suuuweet!

bah, it's photoshopped so it'd look better if it was real I think. I'd totally do it. Make the suspension really stiff with maybe another 2" lift, thow some massive tundra-terrain bubble tires on it, black sand pearl, 6MT... totally be an awesome little exploration vehicle. Oh, and locked front 'n rear.

Add in a old skool rollbar/ offroad light bar in the back to kinda blend the cab to bed... I really think it'd be sweet.

A roll bar would put it over the top, and I'd definitely buy ASAP!

I don't like the reg cab with the short bed/wheelbase. Would you marry a midget cause she's easier to toss around in bed....not me. I do like the access cab with the shortbed.

No thanks, don't like regular cab or short bed trucks of any size. How powerful of a v8 could you really put into that space?
