Auto-manufacturers are trying to prevent us from fixing/modifying our vehicles

Saw this article regarding their attempt to block us from fixing (working on) or modifying them. A few are trying to get copyrights preventing us from touching them. Don't know if this is a repeat or not. May explain why we can't buy individual parts from Toyota like steering rack bushings instead of having to buy the entire rack. Who knows.

Can you say Lawyer's, fed regs, CAFE. liability, warranty, emission regs, non compliance fines. NHTSA. Look to your rich uncle in Washington not the manufacture.

you should have seen the dealers reaction when I told them I do all my maintenance myself because I trust me more than I trust them...
