Well here in hawaii anything 10-29mph over the speed limit you get a ticket, and anything 30mph over is court, so my 2nd ticket was 42 over so that was automatic court. I really thought I was gonna get arrested for the 87 one I asked what was going to happen and hes your just getting a ticket. He did say he could of arrested me though. I was freaking out when he told me that though.

My first was a 79 in a 65 on my way home from a 29 day shift when i was working on fishing boats. I was headed down hill doing about 70 when this car came flying up on my bumper. It was 10pm and I was tired so I sped up to pass the car to my right (2 lane freeway) and got over. Turns out the car on my ass was a Dike CHP officer.

More recently I was pulled over while "Urban Offroading". Not harming anything climbing some hills s, got rolled by 3 cops. Apparently the Camo truck makes them think I was armed (I was, legally of course) and Dangerous (I wasnt). Just explained that I was checking out my new locker and they were cool, asked how it worked, ran my plates, and sent me on my way.

    Okay here goes it..

It was a long day on the road. Just me and ole red. I had left Austin the day before and had a load to deliver north, to Minneapolis. Originally when the call came in I was suposed to have a few days of R&R but that fell through.

Ole red was a bute of a rig. A 1992 Peterbilt 379 setback front axle long nose edition. He had a Cat 3406B with an oversize turbo and the pump was "turned" way up. Eaton Fuller 18spd transmission, twin screw axles, full air ride with custom sleeper. Artic Cat package for cold weather and chain appliers. He had a custom paint job, India Red paint/Sikkens paint/ no expense spared.

He pulled a Landoll Hauloll trailer with a 40ton winch at the front of the trailer. I could load just about anything onto that trailer.

I was tasked to take a bus north. A tour bus. Prevost custom job that belonged to Reba McEntire. It had broken down and rather than wait for repairs the leasing agency said haul it to Detroit Diesel up north for repairs.

That was on Dec 23rd. A non eventful trip until Christmas Eve, or rather Christmas morning. After crossing into Minnesota heading through Owatunna I noticed my speedo quit operating. No worries, I can count markers I said to myself. But the weather was cold and a a few snowflakes were falling. I noticed how pretty it was and how quiet it was outside. I was the only soul on the highway heading north.

At least I thought so.. North of Burnsville I noticed lights behind me. Better pull over. Jake onto full and gearing down I noticed it took me a bit to slow ole red down to a stop.

The trooper was a big guy. He was also upset. He ordered me out of the truck right away. It was then I saw the steam rising out from under his hat.

"Son, do you have any clue how fast you were going?"

No I replied.. My speedo is broken.

"You know better than that. You're a pro driver!"

Umm I'm sorry officer I guess I lost track of the last few markers

    "I clocked you at 104 in a 65!"

Oh boy Im going to jail..

"The only reason I'm not hauling you in is one, it's Christmas time. Second I can't tell my watch commander I clocked a tour bus chasing a Peterbilt at high speeds up the interstate. Drop your load asap and don't EVER EVER return to the state again!"

    Yes sir.

I have never been back to Minnesota.

Way, way back in 1976. I had my license for a whole week. I had a '74 Jeep CJ-5 with about 8 friends packed in it. 42 in a 20 school zone. Went to court and they dropped the fine down to $4 in court costs. Ah, the good 'ol days.

Almost called shenanigans on this one. Did the math quickly with his age and and I didn't think they made integras that early.

First ticket was when I was 17 in a 93 pathfinder going 72 in a 40. Ticket was $285 + a $25 ticket on top. I sent it in to get appealed then I never showed up because I was an idiot and no one was around to drive me. The court would have been 30 minutes away or something. Shortly after that I had another speeding ticket, 53 in a 35. I had my license revoked for 6 months because I was under 18 when both happened. Still drove of course.

My latest ticket was 2 weeks ago for "Not yielding to oncoming traffic" for $35. This was after 6 years of a clean record. I'm going to appeal it because I don't want rates for insurance to go up. HELP ME WITH WHAT I SHOULD SAY!

28 years of driving and no speeding tickets.....but, I have been pulled over twice, and warnings both times. One was in Maryland, the other in Pennsylvania. Radar detector back in the day saved me many times and it was just a cheap Radio Shack detector.

Got my first ticket 2 months ago and I've been driving for 17 years. I was doing 80 in a 70. Everyone else was going that fast too. The cop was hiding behind a hill and he nabbed me.

My wife is the same way......she got a ticket in our sub-division (Florida) going 40 in a 25! She has the lead foot of the family.....when I ride with her I'm constantly telling her to slow down or she's going to get a ticket that we can't afford.
