Probably what happend next was that some other people who came out to target shoot came upon the truck and had a blast with it. Also, there were 6 other cars in the canyon, some of which look like they had been there for 50 years.  This place is close to Desert Hot Springs, CA which I understand has a very high concentration of felons and lots of criminal activity, which is very unfortunate for the law-abiding citizens who live there.
