Alright, I love my Taco so far and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. But when you've got an urge to really put the pedal down, a good old V8 muscle car is pretty tough to beat.

I've narrowed it down to the new Chevy Camaro SS and the Mustang Shelby GT 500. What do you guys think is the better choice for a secondary mode of transport? Performance is pretty much the same. Camaro's 6.2L V8 puts out 426 hp naturally aspirated and the Mustang's 5.4L V8 puts out 540 hp supercharged with CAI. Quarter mile times are only .1 second difference which is fine, not really planning to race it anyways. Mustang is about 15k more.

I voted Camaro but I would have voted Challenger if given the opportunity...

I thought about it but I just couldn't convince myself to buy a Dodge.

dodge has the more reliable powertrain of any of them, but i voted for the tie. dodge also carries the best warranty. just a thought if you "plan" on acting a fool a little.

The GT 500 is overpriced for what it is. Your money would be better spent on just the GT.

Personally I would get the Camaro 2SS/RS with the 6 speed manual.
The issue with this is finding one for MSRP without paying a huge markup. Camaro production is still not keeping up with demand so you'll most likely end up paying a pretty penny for one.

I just assumed Dodge's shiatty truck reputation carried over to the Challenger. May be I'm wrong.

You're opinon. I would still take the corvette over any one of the cars mentioned. It will flat out out perform all of them, for around the same price.

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
I say Mustang! It may not have the HP, But one thing Ford is good with is you don't have to run 91 octane. The Chevy is to big and boxy looking.

Mustang, but the Camaro has come a long way- Throw a whipple or vortec supercharger, with some other minor mods 800hp No problem.

I voted Mustang but I am biased, my other ride is a 65' Mustang. I will admit that out of the modern muscle cars I would vote Challenger too. I think they got it right. The new Camaro, in my opinion, is too over the top modern, definately fits in the Transformer movie but not in the real world. Just my .02

Remove the chevey emblem then I'll consider the Camero. That emblem just makes the thing looks cheap.
