Road Runner, Goat, and Charger! A guy I work with bought a 69 Road Runner, #s matching, and has won almost every show he's entered.

Did you happen to catch the Barrett-Jackson auction over the weekend? A 67 Nova SS went for $150,000

Na - I didn't see it... The B/J Auto Auctions can be - at times - borning... Plus, I don't have that kind of loot to even dream of being there. LOL

it really depends on your budget. for example to find a decent project GTO its going to cost almost twice as much for the car, then your parts on top of that are going to be more than if you went with something a little more common like a charger/camero(i know you dont want a camaro, just using it as an example)

A 427 Chevelle would be one of the COPO cars and will cost a fortune. Possibly 6 figures.

I've got a 66 beetle that we restored for my brother back in the day... Baja with a built motor... thing hauled until Nebraska's road salt started eating the front end out from under it. Now it just sits... No brakes, bald tires, spooky front assembly.

This is why I love TW... Thanks for the insight. This will be my first project car - so I know very little about it right now - Thanks!

NICE rides... Very cool options... Thanks...

I mean - either or. A conv. would be cool, but I wouldn't be able to use it all that often here... So either/or...

Was it pretty easy to work on? If I got the Bug, I'd drop it - chop the top and throw some shiny rims on it...

I voted '69 Roadrunner. My friend's brother has one with the 440 and that thing is bad ass. The acceleration literally glues you to the seat and will throw your head back.
