alright so i was wondering what you guys think.

i know that 4runner and the tacoma have almost the same body styling, close but not identical, and well the Tacoma isn’t a SUV.
And I know that body styles typically last about 5 to 6 years.
So on to my question, do you guys think that the 2011 taco will look somewhat like the new 4runner? And if so do you think you will like it?

As far as I know, they won't be changing the design of the Tacoma for a few more years. But when it is changed, it will probably somewhat resemble the new 4runner.

Redesigns typically happen every 7 years, seemingly longer in compact trucks. When Nissan redesigns, so will toyota.

I don't like the new 4Runner look. If they change the Taco to match it, then I'll be driving mine until the re-design again... if I don't like that one, I guess I'll just have to do something else :(

I read yesterday that they are retooling San Antonio for the 3rd generation Taco due out Fall 2010.

If I can find the link again I will put it here.

Who knows ? Toyota might even try to change the look of a lot of cars to try and get past this recall thing. When some thing is visualy different people tend to think of it as completely different even though that might not be the case.

Unless they're going to redesign this:

I don't think people will fall for it.

It won't look like that... that's just a photochop of the new 4Runner. It might look similar, but the current (I guess old, now) 4Runners and Tacomas don't look exactly the same.

I like the new 4runner-especially the trail edition. I think that's the replacement for the FJ, and the Tacoma will somewhat resemble a blockier looking 4runner.

Deck plate mod, intake silencer removed, AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter, debadged, Goodyear Duratracs 265/75R16. Flowmaster knock-off muffler!
i dont think that they will change too much on the tacoma's, maybe the front-end like they have on the 3 body styles of the 1st gen's!
