legacy spec.b is sick! hella sleeper and can be just as fast as an STI, with much more room and luxury

This. Plus it's kinda fun to be different. WRXs and STIs are fun, but if I got a Subaru, my first look would be at a Legacy spec.b. Like Blackhawk said, more room, luxury, and still plenty fast. But that's why Subaru makes both.

EDIT: We are on the same page with the Stage 2 stuff...I just must have misread his post.

I've been around performance enthusiasts for quite awhile now bud so don't talk down to me. As it's been stated before stage 2 is a series of performance components, sorry for the lingo.

I'm fully aware of packages cobb offers. But when people call their car a "stage 2" its like they're playing gran tourismo or have been watching Fast & The Furious too much. There is no such thing. They can have individual components that are stage 2 according to the respective parts manufacturer. I know quite a bit about modding WRX's. I was wrenching on WRX's with friends of mine back in 2002-2003 when they first came out.

Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone or be argumentative, its just a pet peeve of mine since I was in the import scene back when a lot of you hadn't even gone through puberty yet, I have seen the evolution of it over the years and a lot of dipshits have given it a bad name because they talk out of their ass and make shit up about the mods they have.

If you buy one, get the Blitz Nurspec exhaust...probably the loudest exhaust you can get for a subie but sounds soooo good. A good friend of mine used to have an '03 sonic yellow WRX with up-pipe, downpipe, blitz nurspec exhaust, Utec piggyback system, manual boost controller, and some JIC magic coilovers. Between those coilovers and the AWD that car handled like it was on rails and was a blast to drive.

Be careful on the transmissions on the early WRX models they were made of glass I think lol.

^ yes they still do, spec b is their luxury legacy with the ej25 (turbo 2.5L boxer engine, basically, the wrx engine)

Not sure if they still made them in 2010 or not. It's just a model trim...basically has a 6 speed and (I think) a turbo 4 cylinder. I guess you could say as close to an Sti as you could get a Legacy. Also has a better suspension and some unique wheels. The interior used to Sti-esque with suede/alcantra and leather, just not in that blue color that the Sti's have.

Edit: I was too slow! Blackhawk beat me to it.

You can score a legacy GT for pretty cheap now. Its definately a car with some class to it...something you can drive when you get out of college and not look like a kid driving a modded car.

From my understanding the Legacy GT is a de-tuned STI motor..different head I believe. Its been a while since I last read up on the legacy's, but with minimal modifications you can have a pretty fun car. Well actually its pretty fun stock. I remember driving a brand new one when I was a valet when they first came out. It was a really cool car. Very classy.

I see where your coming from, I figured a greater majority of people were familiar with this. I was just making a point on tuning and did not feel the need to list every bolt-on my friend had on his rex.

It's a blow off valve, it releases the pressure from the turbo.
