Keep drinkin' the koolaid my man.. Yota is gonna recall the Prius next week for a software fix of its brakes.. This keeps getting better and better.

And no need for GM to catch up.. other brands have already caught up and surpassed Toyota in quality.. look at all the recent models and all the $hit that goes on with it having to do with quality deficiencies..

Perhaps the Toyota Techs should spend more time in the Design Centers instead of Cool Bars. :D

Lots of folks saying the media hype is a conspiracy against Toyota and for the US domestic manufacturers. I agree with half of that statement... this is against Toyota but has nothing to do, other than side effects, with any other manufacturer. The US manufacturers are certainly taking advantage of the situation but I believe the media are focused on the events so strongly because it distracts from the US health care debacle... anything to move away from that disaster. Unfortunately Toyota was the next big story.

I am pissed to be frank... I finally unloaded my lemon of truck, my old '04 Chevy Colorado Z71 pick up and bought a '10 Tacoma. Everyone has said how reliable Toyotas are. I have an old beater '95 Corolla as my daily commuter and it just keeps going. I am already feeling sick to my stomach my '10 Tacoma is gonna be another lemon... Maybe this will be a wake up call for Toyota, they'll realize that once you build a reputation you have to work to continue to keep it! Perhaps they'll pull their heads out of their asses and bring their quality back to where it once was...

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
OK. so as far as I can see Toyota is bending over backwards to fix peoples cars. Dealers are extending hours, some will pick up your car no matter what time it is. I don't think ford, or gm did that with the last two major recalls they had. Fabricated exploding gas tanks, hyped up tire failures.... those dealers made people wait for when th repair best suited the dealer.

So if another company has done worse in the past, it's okay Toyota, we'll give you a pass on this one? Perhaps even a pad on the back and an "attaboy!"

Yeah and so what if the brakes don't work and the gas pedal sticks, just steer around stuff until it runs out of gas. Oh...wait.... Toyotas have great gas milage....ok, never mind, forget the steering solution, that's just as bad as the plastic zip ties on the floormats.

Just a side note, any know why they're called ToyoTas and not ToyoDas? Do ya think the Engineering team misspelled his name and they just came rolling off the line as ToyoTas?? I'll bet he was pissed about that more than these gas pedals.

Apparently a automotive professor has demonstrated how a shorted pair of wires will cause this problem, and also not report any error codes as well.
A recall to install brake software to force fuel reduction is needed asap.
