Ok...

First off... How is a Prius remotely the same as a current gen Tacoma?

Second. We are all watching what is happening with Toyota, the recalls and the issue of "unintended acceleration".

Please stop posting redundant information, look in "General Automotive" for posts of the nature or search first.

This is the first I've heard of any recall.

For the record....

I've had the privilege of driving a Prius. Had it on loan from the stealership. Not a bad car for pep and get up and go, amazed the shit out of me. With that... The controls are all electronic, shifting is not a solid connection to the transmission and the "ignition" is a start/stop switch.

Here is the shifter.

And the ignition switch

The E-Brake I do not recall.

^ That is what happens when people get too lazy to turn their own keys. Now they have cars that drive for themselves, be it driver willing or not.
