Went up to $3.65 for 87 octane in the Kansas City area on the MO side. Kansas is in the low $3.70's due to higher taxes. This up 20 cents in the last week.

Paid $3.69 for 87 today.

Cleaning out our magazine pile in the living room this morning and noticed the picture on the back of a Reader's Digest. You know the ones. This was called "Alternative Fuel" picturing a woman on a bicycle taking a break drinking water while at a gas station-store.

This was an Aug. '07 issue and the signs in the print are showing $3.49 and $3.59 gas prices. The artist C. F. Payne must have had a vision of things to come.

$3.80 for 87octane at Texaco in Klamath Falls, OR. This was the 2nd cheapest place other than the Fred Meyer gas, which i refuse to buy.
