Would you buy a 2000 Tundra with 91k?

ive been looking at it for a while. its been listed for $10499 (right about kbb value) for a month or so. Now its $6995 until the end of the week.

I'm looking for a 2000-2002 Tundra (hate the new grills) but the less miles the better obviously.

Would you be worried about buying a 10 year old truck?
Would you be worried about the 91k miles?

What maintenance should I be looking for/ asking about?

-fluids change

I'd buy it, I would try to haggle on the price a little more. Only maintenance item at that mileage is the timing belt on those v8's. I would get all the fluid replaced also. I've owned 2 tundras so far; a 2001 with 120k that I sold for $9k about 2 years ago and a 2000 with 225k miles on it that I sold for $2k about 1 year ago. Both trucks never gave me problems and I would beat on them like they were stolen

Price is listed as "FIRM" now but im perfectly happy with that. $7k for something thats worth $10.5 seems good to me. my current tacoma is worth about 9k so it seems like a good move.

 

anyone else with info? supposedly goes on auction after "the end of the week" so its gonna be a bit of an impulse buy on my part. any quick opinions are appreciated

 

if anyone is showing interest in the truck they will not send it off to auction. its kind of like them saying they have someone else interested in the truck to try and make you buy the truck. i think the price is really good. i would definately check the carfax and everything though.

 

i sold my 2000 tundra 4x4 at 130k with no problems! i loved that truck!

my brother in-law has two Tundras, one is mainly used for work, he is in construction and constantly hauling materials, towing his trailer, aka his "workhorse". Last time Ive checked he has well over 170k miles without any issues, the second one is used for when he not working which is the Darrel Waltrip version so yeah I think he has faith in Tundras, BTW 90k miles on a Toyota isnt nada...... check carfax, under hood, frame rust, paintwork, vin numbers, service history before purchase... and yeah thats a very attractive price

 

Yeah I'm assuming its to try for the quick sale. well see how tough they are with that

id be skeptical with such a low price but the fact that it was listed for a "normal" price bring some peace of mind. could be a good sales tactic though...

and i will definitely do my Hw before buying (inspection, carfax)
