My ex had a 2006 Mazda 6 and it was garbage. She had tons of problems all the time.

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
She is leaning towards the tC. She would get an FJ but it's too expensive. Overall price, gas and insurance... :(

I tried talking her into a WRX but she doesn't like them...

My neighbor let us drive her Mazda 3 a few months ago and it was just "ok". Kim is looking to test drive a tC soon. :)

I personally had a scion tc and was rediculously happy with it! especially after dropping 6-8 grand into it haha but seriously great car, no matter how i drive it mileage stayed up there. nice small easy to get around in and the hatch came in handy for moving bigger things. open the hatch, put the seats down and you can move a fridge if you have too

I say you use the money for a 1st gen Taco so you guys can offroad together! Dude that'd be so sweet!

To be more realistic though, the TC is a pretty sweet car. My buddy has had his with 50k miles already and has no issues. Great car. What color is she getting? New or used?

She would get a new tC, no supercharger. :p

She wants to stick with a Toyota product because of the reliability.

Really? What happened? I'm just curious. :)

The black Tc's are pretty rare. I don't see many around.

black bull bar & black step bars, fog lights w/ halo DRLs, AFE Pro Dry air filter, OEM bed mat and door sill protectors, window tint, 17" ADR black w/ machined lip wheels...just getting started, more to come!
After over 2 years of saving and deciding on new vehicles to purchase, I picked up a 2010 white Scion tC for the wife a couple of months ago along with my 2010 Taco and she absolutely loves it.

The tC quality and standard options are very nice, lots of power for its size and that is without force induction. The customization options and aftermarket support for it is amazing too. But hers got to wait until my build is done. :D

I vote Mazda3. If she can afford it, then the MazdaSpeed3. We have a 2010 Mazda3 GT 5 door in our family, and it's a great little car. One big plus, IMHO, about it is that it's not made or assembled in the US, it's made in Japan (not sure where the TC is made maybe Japan as well). Sticker says, "North America 0%; Japan 100%" or something to that nature.
