Ok guys kinda like to get all of TW's input on this, already got some of yalls $.02 and then some on FB lol. But heres the deal. I've got my tacoma, love it, and next fall I'll be commuting to school for a good 2 hrs or so round trip to school of highway/interstate and city driving. My truck isn't exactly the most fuel efficient vehicle on the road and I don't exactly need the 4wd or bed so I've been considering for a while about selling the taco and getting a car. Looking at Mazda3's(preferably the 2.3L), Honda Civic's(sedans mainly. GF has one so i know how they are), Corolla's(meh.... nothing fancy bout em), and kinda tossing around the idea of a Subaru Impreza( a certain '06 2.5i Wagon is the reason. I know wagons are kinda lame in some peoples books but I like em and the cargo space is nice). But here's the thing.. my truck does have a dent of considerable size on the bedside, has been modded to my liking, will go anywhere, and is just about paid for (by my parents....). So what do yall think? Should I keep the taco and suffer the consequences of driving it back n forth everyday OR part with the beloved taco and get one of the fore mentioned cars, or anything else you all might mention. By the way, i will be getting a job this summer to go towards gas or car and mods for either. Please leave some comments please no flaming me though I'm already bummed at the idea of selling the Gr8WhiteTaco.. :(
EDIT: if i get a car, it'll be costing $10k or less

Keep the truck and buy a cheap car.

If you sell it, you'll likely regret it (imo).

Maybe I could strip the truck down to nothing to save weight. I mean who needs passengers and doors anyways?

I think youd regret losing the truck for a car. If the truck is almost paid off youll be saving on a car payment there, why throw yourself into another series of payments? Isnt the point to save money?

you know what, if you really wanted to sell your truck you would have done it already. But since you keep on saying that your gonna sell but havent already shows that you cant stand the fact of giving her up. Just keep the truck!!! you wont sell it, you know it, I know, everyone knows it

Yeah you should seriously consider keeping the Tacoma. Just find someone who will let it sit for X amount of time. It'll be nice to just go and sit in it, knowing its your babe.

No i'm being smart and looking around for something and not jumping on the first 'possible' "deal" i find. I'm looking around, comparing models, reading reviews, and getting others inputs. If i figure it up that its a better decision to keep the truck then ill keep, if not then it'll be rolling around with a nice lil for sale sign in the window. I asked for no flaming, ok?
