Thats my favorite part; among many. I just love what you can do with these trucks/SUVs.

To each has their own opinion, but why do you dislike the 4 door part so much?

I don't even like 4 door Tacomas. But a jeep with 4 doors is just a solid glorified family hauler.

BUT I do like the 2 door jeeps. I just can't stand the 4 door look.

If I could find a way to do a removable hard top I would. Then it would give a a reson to cage it out and make it an offroad warrior.

Get a 4x4 FJ. My wife loves the look of the jeeps, and we thought about getting one about a month ago, but the shitty engine, quality, mpg, and maintenance just turned me down. Ill admit, those things look sick when you see them out on the road, all fixed up and trailed out, but unless you have bottomless pockets your gonna regret getting one. An FJ is in the same price range, better MPGs, better quality, 2 yrs maintenance free, and much more reliable. Or trade your taco in for a 4x4 DC SB TRD Offroad Taco

No 4 door it looks ridiculous. It reminds me of a wanna-be Hummer. Get a YJ or TJ if you want a Wrangler.

I've ridden in both, I can honestly say that the back seat is VERY comfortable. I would like to have 4 doors because of all the people that want rides from me. I can only carry 2 people, JUST, now because of my Sub box.

Oh I know about the Jeeps problems. My mom had 4 Cherokees and 3 Grand Cherokees. We looked at getting my sister a Wrangler for the longest time when she first got her license.

And Not necessarily. Its just that I get ZERO traction on some of that Alabama Red Clay and it just cuts up and it wont change gear until I let off the gas (Which I can't do because I'll most likely get stuck; I just ease off a bit) or until my truck hits hard ground again.

You remember that day you were over at my house, I was in 2nd gear that entire time I was going down the power lines....
    wanna trade?:p

To each is their own. And there's nothing wrong with that. I'm glad your giving your opinion towards this.
Most likely this is all coming out of my pocket. Trade in plus some. My dad wont put in any money because he thinks there's nothing wrong with what I've got. Agreed, I love my truck because its the only one that has a configuration like it --and I love the color, But I just need something bigger.

I'm 6'5" 190 lbs 17 year old. I NEED room to move about. From the looks of it, a Jeep JK gets about the same gas mileage as my truck. I would love to have a FJ but I just can't see myself in one.

i really like those too. id love to have a 4 door rubicon AND my tacoma but that probably will never happen. they are really versatile and come stock with front and rear lockers, sfa, nice wheelbase, and endless possibilities. and im not really sure about their reliability but my family has a problem free 2000 grand Cherokee Laredo that has really impressed me in terms of quality and reliability.

I've driven a Hummer H2. There is a resemblance but the Jeep weighs less and has more MPGs. Look at what all you can do to a Jeep though!! they are like toy cars!
You may not be able to take over these truck payments ;)

I was really close to getting 4 door JK instead of my truck, the only reason why I got the truck was the price. My dad has an 07 4 door JK Rubicon that has treated him pretty good, the only problem he had was the shitty tires it came with, other than that its been really good.

I have no problem with Jeep either! its only Dodge I'm iffy about. Like I said in my previous post. Look in any Off-Road magazine, More than likely you will find a few teens of pages full of stuff for Jeeps.

ORA magazine has about 20-30 pages of just Jeep stuff. I love it! You don't have to look hard and you get results quick.

My mom only had 1 problem with her last Grand Cherokee... The fuel tank leaked. But they fixed it even when it was a year over warranty- for nothing to pay for.

    Hush yo mout FOOO!!! haha.

I would like something that can stick with what I want to do offroad. I can't recall how many times I wanted to forge through water, but backed out because I have a 2WD truck... I just like that type of offroading-- almost like the strategy type. Not free for all.

I don't think that day will ever slip our minds... ever
IF i get one, I'm going to replace the tires and suspension immediately.

Just so I can get off to a good foot and to really see what it can do. I just love the SFA- No Cv axles or boots to worry about....

maybe you should hold off on the offroading for a while and ride with your friends while they offroad. main thing you need to do is stop jumping your truck And that day is like branded into my brain
