Yes because the new Tundras are such an epic fail quality-wise.

A couple recalls won't deter me from owning or buying another Toyota.
Toyota trucks have ALWAYS been tough as nails. The news people can make a mountain out of a mole hill. The media is very good at smear campaigns. YESS Toyota needs to get their sh*t together and solve the issues other than that Toyota is still top dog.

Thats not because of the assembly process. For instance, a good friend of mine received some of the original chassis that were being tested for the new Tundra (owns one of the largest scrap yards around). I can attest that the chassis he received and the ones that are now going into the Tundra are no where near each other on a structural level. The redesigned chassis is much less rigid and reinforced due to materials cost. Interested to say the least.

As for the Tacos being built here, I would say if anything, quality will be increasing in the assembly process. The plant here is of top notch caliber, and the employees are good workers. I have been to quite a few automotive assembly plants, and the Toyota plant here in SA goes above and beyond.
