The first 5 are all me. I don't tow often or haul stuff everyday, but I do it enough that people would get tired of me asking to borrow their trucks.
    I've never owned a car.

I bought my Tacoma(D CAB 4X4) because I think it has everything in one package. This thing can carry 5 adults, carry stuff in bed, tow stuff, off-road, looks great, good on gas etc. I mean, what else do you want from a vehicle?:) I consider my Taco an all-in-one package.

I have driven the family car, 1984 Volvo station wagon that I bought new. I just got rid of it a month ago with 265,000 miles. I had wanted a truck for about three or four years and decided on the Tacoma about two or three years ago. We wanted to wait till the boys were done with school and settled in their carriers. Jeff our oldest is a fifth grade teacher in Houston Texas and Josh is an IT tech working for five auto dealers including Toyota, he landed me a great deal on my 09.:D

Wanted something fun and 4WD. Toyota, Honda or Subaru only, and I'm not really an SUV person. I was playing with the "customize your..." part of the Toyota website (trucks, cars, and the 4Runner), and ended up really liking what I ended up with one day. A test drive and a week and a half later (when a dealership was able to locate one), I was driving off the lot with exactly that.

I needed light duty off road abilty, room to haul stuff in the bed, and towing capacity, so a pickup is a must to me. The Tacoma is the perfect size in the DC config-perfect for hauling my growing family, meets all listed requirements below, and is still relatively economical to drive and own.

My dad said no to a car, it had to be a pickup. I've always loved the toyota trucks ever since my grandfathers 94. I figured, what the hell. If i got to get a truck why not let it be a Tacoma. Yes it is a stick like mine. If i'm not mistaken I think he's looking at the Hilux. He lives in Costa Rica, and the 94 is about to the point of being sold (i don't really need two Tacoma's). I hope he gets the Hilux, its available for order in the nearest Toyota dealer ship in Santa-Ana CR.
    Hopefully it's a Turbo Diesel
