Doesn't blow cool, doesn't blow hot, doesn't blow vent, just doesn't blow. It's a FWB Mitsubishi Endeavor and I'm frankly not even sure where the compressor is (I can see the alternator, which makes me think the compressor is on the bottom at the back).

Any ideas what might be wrong?

So you are getting nothing from the blower motor? You might wanna start with checking fuses.

Yeah...I'd worry about the blower motor and electrical supply to the motor before you start looking for the compressor.

can you pull the blower motor and see if there is an obstruction, leaves or somethign else preventing it from going?

I wouldn't even know where to look for it. I have never dealt with a car like this before (FWD, engine compartment PACKED with crap).

I don't know on your car but on the tacoma's the blower motor in in the cab on the passernger side footwell on the underside of the dash. Maybe look around there? :notsure:

have you tried looing around for a forum on that car?

The blower motor is just a small electric fan, so not a belt driven item like the compressor or Alt. Good luck man

ok since you left I got bored and started lookign around online it appears that some Mitsubishi Endeavor's have a couple of problems with the blower motors. One involves a blower motor resistor that causes no or sometimes intermitten operation of the blower motor. The other was a problem with water collecting in the bottom of the blower motor (no idea how it is getting in there) and causing corrosion resulting in the blower failing. Good luck and let un know how it goes.

Thanks Jester. I think she's going to wind up taking it in today, but at least it sounds like a blower motor shouldn't be a huge expense. I believe it is a 2004.
