Taco's tow rig needs repair, i need opinions

today going down the highway my dodge ram 3500 duallys passanger side inner tire blew, when it did it ripped out all my wiring and lights from that side, it ripped out the inner fender flare cracked the dually fender in several locations, wrapped the 4" exhaust around the leaf spring and bent the bed up so the tailgate doesnt open right.

so here is where i need opinions. i need new almost everything atleast on that side and i have a light and big scratch on the other side of the bed from a hitnrun

so i need suggestions for mods, i thought about getting a flat bed it it would be cheaper but idk.

also in nc is it legal to run DRW without a fender flair?

i also thought about a tow bed with boom and or wheel lift but couldnt find any for under a few k

 

any idea how much this will aprox cost to fix? i found a saweet flat bed for 700

 

if you like the look of flat beds, which i LOVEEEE, i'd do it.

look at Bradford Built beds, all our farm trucks have them. Worth every penny.

 

I say flatbed. And that sounds like a good price to me, those things can be really expensive.

 

yeah i told the guy i really dig it. im going to get a quote monday but its hard to because the ins co told me not to touch my truck and they want to tow it to an "approved" body shop and cut them a check directly. but imma see if i can get a dodge dealer body shop tech to ride with me and look at it.

If the beds bent to much they'll have to replace. And if they decide that preparr for that to be $$$$$. If their able to fix the bent bed, then the fender isn't much plus your pipe that got bent. But weigh the cost of what it'll be versus the flatbed cost, and use your best judgment.

 

yeah thats what im basing it on, my bed is dented at the corner where it meets the tailgate and the bumper so im not 100% if it can be pulled or not. the wiring is probably going to be the main thing. if i get the flat bed im going to have to figure what wire goes to what because they are ripped out everywhere. im kinda hoping its gonne be over 700 in repairs though, i really want a flat bed. the only thing i cant think of is how we are going to get it on the back of the truck lol

lol this money be coming from insurance, thats why i need to find the cheaper one and pocket the rest

 

I'm talking about your Taco, but I just saw you were in an accident in that too!

 

lol bumpers slider were my money. the SAS was insurance money. I got hit head on in the snow and the other cars insurance company really lowballed me. I was a minor at the time and my mom didnt wanna argue so i chose the cheaper option. I did the regearing and locking diffs as my senior project

 

about how much does a new bradford built cost. the guy said his is a bolt on that was on an f150 so i aint 100% itll fit

 

I'm pretty sure that bed wont fit. Its more narrow then a dually. Check a local dealer near youfor the price. You can find one buy calling the bradford built number on their site. But its gunna be more then 700. And will go up qucil depending what style you want.

 

unfortunately theyre closed today, i think i will need a new bed though, i went out and looked at it today, the bed is so fubbarred that it dented the fender of the bed up and put a huge dent in the floor of the bed, it looks like a paper ball under there
