Slim is a very stand up guy and I would bet that when he reads all of this he will make it right. He has helped in out twice when he really didn't have to.

It's easy to take text in the wrong tone, but the "BITE ME" comments didn't help. :)

I am not sure that other people take things wrong, I think you need to take a look at how you write and say things.

the whole reason for me posting was to get a feel for if other people had the same issue with the bulb not fitting in the opening.

when I first matched up the stock bulb with the HID I noticed the tab location to be wrong. After I had a second pair of eyes look at the situation, he noticed that the base of the bulb (circular part with the O-ring) was larger in diameter than the opening in the fog housing. This is a big problem because since there is a O-ring, it's supposed to fit pretty exact. I just want to make Slim aware of it and if anyone else has the same issue, please post. I'd hate for this to be an ongoing issue in production. I thought it was just a different fog housing, but when Opie with a 2005 had the same problem I have with my 2010, it makes me wonder.

Get back to us when you can Slim.

That is the perfect reason for making such post. I'd bet slim hasn't noticed this yet. Have you sent him a Pm? He may get those notices in his email.

Just an FYI to all these posts after my most recent post. I usually get an email notification to the replies to my threads but sometimes they don't come through. I just noticed all these replies tonight after speaking with Twirlin on the phone about his bulbs. If you have a problem please PM me so that I can address each and every one of you guys.

As for those with bulbs that are a little tough getting in the housings. Some trucks I've noticed need to use a little elbow grease to get them in as for others they just slip right in. Try that before calling it quits.

For those with the bulbs not turning on in the fogs. This is because some fog light stock wiring is weak and needs to be plugged directly into the ballast bypassing the connection on the bulb itself. There will now be 2 connections not being used on the bulb which you can just connect to each other. If this does not make sense PM me and I will explain.

Like humanoid said I do have a life outside of tacomaworld and usually I can get everyone an answer within the day you leave a response. But I have been in the process of moving and as anyone that has previously moved knows its a nightmare...

has anyone else had this issue in the most recent GB? I'm waiting for replacement bulbs and will report back. I know opie had an issue but took it into his own hands and I don't want to modify anything. Should be plug and play.

I noticed very slight tightness to get em engaged into the housing... very minimal force was needed... yoiu kinda have to tip them in at first... nothing major.... i could see by the design of the back of the oem housings how the could distort, they dont have much plastic at all where the tabs engage.... that said this does allow for some give when they dont just drop in... I have the housing removed for wet sanding/polishing that may make it a tad easier as well...

alright ladies and gentlemen, my problem has been fixed and I'll tell you why.
Paul sent me new bulbs. The new bulbs were noticeably different from the original bulbs. The tabs were located correctly on the new ones and the base diameter of the bulb miked at 19.65mm as opposed to 22mm on the old ones. The tightness that opie was experiencing was legit because the bulb that he and I were sent were incorrect. Might not have even been an H10 for all I know. All I know is that the new bulb WAS an H10 (said 9005 right on the bulb base).

Thanks for making it right Paul.
