And if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I am very pleased with mine, and I had my fair share of questions as well.

Anyone knows if the 50w ballast washes out the color of hids bulbs ? witch one has better light output 4300K or 5000K?

50w does in fact wash out bulb color... Better light output will come form the 4300k. I prefer 5000k, especially if I'm going 50w

    See my build page!
Ive been so busy with stuff and these beautiful retros have just been sitting in garage (see build thread for pics)

I will finally have the time to install these this weekend. Anyone have advice on wiring this up and a good spot to mount the ballasts boxes? I've seen pictures of setups where it is drilled into the side of the headlight?

I'm assuming it's easy install? Just wire them the directly to the battery and follow the diagram?

Install is pretty easy. I didn't mount my ballasts to the lights, I found some holes just next to them. Pretty simple install. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Then why do you prefer the 5000K?

This picture really doesn't show it, but 55w @ 5000k is pure white... I would put 55w 5000k to show up at about 4800k, where 55w 4300k will show up like 4000k. Definitely not the crystal white. It is all in whatever the look your are going for is man.

Thanks I definitely will let you know if I do. From what I remember the passenger light wiresmt the driver then power?

Here is the ballast pic I was referring to http://www.tacomaworld.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/116045/cat/500

I hate drilling anything into a headlight that could expose any air coming in so I'm thinking of putting a sh!tload of 3m mounting tape will do the job..

Just installed mine and had a quick question about them firing up.
They haven't been on for more en 5 minutes because I literally just finished up. I noticed that when I fire them up, they both slightly flicker like its trying to find the right color. But it doesn't flicker like something is loose.. Is this normal? I notice on BMW hids they fire up and change colors smoothly, but mine slightly flicker. Not bad at all just wanted to make sure everyone sees the same thing..
    h
Could it be because the three times I fired them up the truck was off? I haven't turned on truck and fired them up yet.
