They all ship out when the GB is finished. From looking at past buys he ships them basically the day he gets all the lights.

1998-Present Toyota Tacoma Bulb Sizes - H4 Bixenon (Headlights) H10 Low Beam (Fogs)

So I recommend getting the slim digital H4 Bixenon in 4300k and the slim or the normal H10 Low Beam in 3000k. This gives you a good white headlight that needs minimal time to warm up and a deep yellow fog light that cuts through the fog better then any other color. You don't need the fogs to warm up right away so you can get either the slim ballasts or the normals. They are strait plug-in-and-play. All you need to do is find a place to mount the ballasts.

Yup what sloth said they are direct plug and play no splicing required. A lot of people like the setup he mentioned but the majority buy the 6000K for both heads and fogs so they match. It's still a very bright setup but its more look than function for fog etc. I recommend the slim ballast for all the kits not just for warm up but for the life of the ballast. They are a top quality ballast with a longer lifespan and better quality.

Is the 6000k fogs better than the stock fogs in terms of function, I realize HID fogs in 6k aren't as functional as 3k or 43k.

Absolutely! It's like having 2 more 6k lights on the road. It'll be brighter.

Have you ever had trouble with the ballasts falling off their velcro when doing some tough offroading?

I'm running out of flat surfaces to screw stuff haha..

Already got a HID ballast behind water bottle, and another just back from there, and the other fender is FULL of relays, aux fuse panel, soon 2nd batt etc.

I never use Velcro. Seems like it wouldn't hold strong that long. I recommend using zip ties all the way. :)

Ah ya just in your official install thing, the guy does this:

Seems ok but like I said just worried about it falling.

You zip tie yours right to the headlight moulding thing like that?

Those "Official guides" look to be from other members. They may mount them however they want to. Here's mine for another option.. (Pics in a min)

Mine are the Normal ballasts, just for clarification..

My set didn't come with them :(

My velcro seems to be holding up so far, but the clamps look more solid for sure.
