Yes this price is still active. However, if you are in CA you have to pay taxes and free shipping only applies to 48 contiguous states. If you are in Canada, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, or Alaska you will have to pay $50 shipping. Thanks

The sale is for $670, some of you were asking for $650 but that was the price last Christmas (almost 7 months ago). Thanks

Is this Toyota Corolla nav unit part of the Ottonavigps product line?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEAL-OF-THE...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item415fe56b88

I really like the looks of the user interface on this unit. It is far more visually pleasing than the current Tacoma UI. That is one reason I was more interested in the Rosen unit over the Ottonavigps. The current Ottonavigps interface with the brown or orange appears to make the screen look pixilated and the field objects just kind of thrown on the screen.

If the next version of the Tacoma Ottonavigps had a similar interface to the Corolla and may of your other units along with SAT support, I would quickly make a purchase instead of waiting for Rosen to come out with the refreshed version they are working.

Ottonavigps has an opportunity to take some of the OEM looking GPS radio market from Rosen since Rosen has pulled their product line for the Tacoma while working on a new version for the 2013 Tacomas.

Its pretty nice. Its got its bugs. The home screen is a little cheesy looking. I wish the microphone was a little easier to hide. Using a stylus on any vehicle touch screen is a little silly and some of the functions are difficult to do with your fingers. Navigation is primitive. Its about as advanced as my 5 year old Garmin. But it loads routes quickly.

Overall Im satisfied with the unit. I expected these flaws and outdated technology when the price for a OEM looking, plug-and-play head unit was under $700. Money had to be saved somewhere.

Im not trying to trash talk OTTONAVI or deter anyone from buying this product. Its worth the $670 I feel. Obviously you could buy a much better Double DIN touchscreen unit for around the same price (maybe a little more). But my goal was OEM look. I had the base, non-JBL audio system, so I've been used to very basic functionality. I didn't even have an auxiliary input. I can now stream Pandora from my phone. I have a real (though basic) iPod interface. I have a DVD player. And I have Navigation (also basic).

But, anyone who gets in my car thinks its stock, which I like :) In fact, when my girlfriend got in my truck the other day, she did a double take and asked if I always had that screen LOL.

Can anyone who has this unit comment on the volume output. The OEM stereo volume is pretty weak at max setting and even weaker using the aux input.

    Questions:

    1. Can you stream music via bluetooth? (i.e. music on phone/pandora)
    2. What is the sounds quality from the bluetooth/iPod adaptor? I have to USA Spec iPod kit in the truck and the volume is lower than CD/Radio volume by a bit...

Yes. I do it all the time.

Bluetooth sounds a little flat. You may want to up the treble and bass a little since there is no mid range adjustment. Other than it sounds good. no static or popping or other interference. Ipod sounds as good as it should.
