I'd like others to chime in on the "Is it worth it part" so I don't sound like I am just trying to sell you but IMO it is definitely worth it and is a big difference from Halogen to my HID's. The beam pattern in your Audi was with projector lenses so the cut line was sharp. I had an Audi and loved my xenons in there. The trucks don't have projectors so the beam pattern will stay the same as you currently have with your halogen bulbs but just a lot brighter and whiter depending on your temp you choose. I would recommend either 4300K or 6000K. The light bars are made from the same supplier that the HID lights are from and are insanely bright as you can see from the photos above of the 26" bar. If I had a roof rack or the space on the front for the bigger bars I would have it on my truck.

The only alternative I would say instead of installing just HID's in your headlight would be to get a Projector kit, there's a couple group buys going so just search cause I don't want to put those links on Slimcubby's group buy.

One advantage of going the projector route would be you wont end up blinding people with your headlights(since must people don't properly aim them, or are unable to get them low enough).I have projectors and now I'm going through Slimcubby for His HIDs in my fogs cause he offers a great product and has a great reputation. Which ever way you go I'm sure you will be happy with the outcome. Good luck and have fun spending money!

 Thank you very much for all of your input!! this actually helps a lot and makes me a bit more comfortable with making my purchase.

    on the OP it says "select your color Temperatures: 4,300k, 6,000k, 8,000k, 10,000k, 12,000k, 15,000k and 30,000K (3,000k add $3.00)"

what is the difference between all of these? brightness or is there an actual color difference too? Also, what is the telescopinc bixenons about? All of the numbers under the ballast types (H4,H7, etc) those are just bulb measurements for different vehicles, right?

sorry, i feel like an idiot with all these questions but i just want to make sure that i am able to purchase the right product for my truck and something that i will be more than satisfied with as well.

i love the idea of the projector but i am not sure they make one for the 2012 just yet. they ones that i have seen for older models seem to change the entire appearance of the headlight.. thoughts?

4300k is like your OEM white. as you go higher in the kelvin temperature, the bluer it will and eventually purple. Also, the higher you go in the kelvin temperature, you will begin to lose lumens. Lighting will become poorer and the eye will not like it much.

All the numbers under the ballast types (h4, h7, etc) signifies the bulb type for whatever vehicle you are interested for. So to answer your question, you are right.

    retrofit the projectors :)

So with that said, what is going to be my best option, brightest light with best quality? 8000k? 10,000k? I dont need the brightest on the road but i definitley want a good difference from OEM.. otherwise why upgrade :D

4300/6000/8000 will be your best bet on actual output. Any higher and you really start to notice a loss in visible light, as mentioned before. 4300 is going to by your whitest, most "daylight" like color temp. 6000/8000 start to turn more blue, but are still very bright.

I would go 6000K hands down. It will be your brightest option and have a difference from OEM. The 4300K is white with a slight yellow tint while the 6000K is also white with a slight blue tint. Both 4300K and 6000K are your brightest options before getting bluer and losing brightness. :) Also, 6000K is the most popular for a good reason. :)

My pick would also be 4300k because I feel the blue looks tacky. (Just my opinion though)

I'm pretty sure the current group buy offers them for the 2012 since I see people doing it to there headlights. Just search through the pages and I'm sure they can clarify it. Sorry not much help, I don't have a 2012 :p
