OP do you have more pictures of the mounting system? I'm just curious as to how it ties in. How much weight have you had up there? Thanks and sweet looking product!

The mounting is pretty simple, the angle rests on the top of the bed rails and the leg of the angle covers the factory rail. I supply the hardware. There are nuts that slide in from the end of the factory rail. You just line the nuts up with the hole spacing on the rack and then put the rack on and thread the bolts in. The picture is a little different than the final design. The newer ones have the angle a little longer so that it goes part the rail, as the picture shows you can see the angle comes up a little short but works fine. I have not load tested the rack yet but it is extremely strong. A spare tire, cooler or something like that would be no sweat. All of the downward load is on the top of the rails.

Just an idea, could you do a bolt on or WIY extention for the LB owners it would change the geometry some but might work

I am working with Fastenal to get competetive shipping pricing on a long bed model. The longbed model would measure appx 60" front to rear

Great design, I like the mid-height of it. Would you consider a simplistic option with no basket, just the 3 cross bars and 2 vertical runners for a lower cost?

id be in for a long bed version if it got down to the 700 range. id rather no basket though. with a rtt ontop the basket would be useless anyways.
