Smell was a little strong at first, but it's starting to get better.

Just leave the windows down as much as you can, and ride around that way too.. The smell will go away. It takes a little while. When I bought the last set, I think the smell was there for about 2 weeks, and then I either got used to it, or it went away. I actually missed the smell a little when I put the new covers on the other day.

Guess it's just me cause mine don't smell ANYTHING like a new car and I always use the "new car" scent air fresheners, which I know don't have the exact scent.

Got my covers yesterday and going to install them today. One question, when you take the seats out to put the covers on the front, is it necessary to unhook the negative on the battery cable prior to taking out the front seats? Anything with the air bag connected to the seats? Sorry to be a newb, but just want to make sure I don't mess anything up. Thanks in advance for your help!

I didn't. Just took out the 4 bolts, leaned the seat back, disconnected the harnesses, and then pulled the seats out through the back doors.

Fronts are done, but a couple of questions:
Seat Heaters - Are you cords way too short? If not, how did you route them. On the passenger side, the connections came out the side right at the lever to adjust the seat back. This is not a good location. So on the driver's side I routed them under the seat toward the center dash where the cigarette lighter plug is. This put the controller just barely out from under the driver's seat. No way to see it without bending over to look down the front of the seat to adjust it.
Air Bag Slits - Do your slits sit open or do they stay shut?
See the attached images of how mine turned out.

The air bag slits sit open. Can't help you with the seat heaters though, sorry.

My airbag slits not only stay closed but they stay over lapped.

Babytruck, what year & model is your Access cab? Mine is a 2012, double cab, sport. I wonder if they used the same pattern and maybe the sport seats are bigger.

2010 Base. But you have the sport seats, It think they are different. I have the regular style seats, with the baby connectors (important because there are slits in the seat bottoms) and my passenger seat also folds flat and has a hard backing to be used as sort of a "table". Mine do not have the thigh supports, and the extra thingies by the shoulders that go up. I'm wondering if you got the covers that would have fit my seats. Yours look small. Like a fat guy trying to put on a tuxedo three sizes too small. It also looks like you didn't tuck yours in under the plastic on the bottom of the seat?

I also noticed that in the 2nd pic, it looks like the stitches are strained. Like the covers really are too tight. I can see the stitches in the upper right of the picture. I don't think it should be THAT tight.

I'll call WO and see what they say. Thanks for the input. I thought I tucked everything under the plastic but obviously missed one. Thanks for seeing that.

I think the strained seems are also due to lots of downward streching to get the velcro to line up at the bottom rear of the seat.

One other thing I thought about is the flap. It is folded back up under the cover. I wonder if that is causing enough extra bulk to stretch the slit open at the airbags?

My flap is folded up too....

I have a feeling you got the wrong covers. Make sure you tell them everything. That yours is sport, if yours fold down, baby connectors (I don't think DCs have them), etc. Go over EVERY option that are on the actual seats. When you are on the phone with them, see if you can send the person you are talking to pictures WHILE YOU ARE ON THE PHONE so they can see them and discuss them with you right then and there. Good luck and keep us posted.

Got mine on Friday and installed fronts Saturday and rears Sunday. Holy crap, they are SWEEEEEET!! Fit great, look amazing. Personally I love the red Tacoma emblem that matches the color of my truck that brings a little of the outside in and the black headrests definitely make a huge difference over the gray. Thanks to those of you who recommended that! My fabric protector and odor eliminator bottles both crapped out after 2 pumps and only dribble when I try to press down on it, so I have to call them about that. Everything else went without a hitch. For those of you installing, definitely take the seats out; MUCH easier that way and less frustrating. I'm happy I spent the money on these. Next mod is the LED gauge cluster, wish me luck.
