Like ProForce said, it will read the same as your speedo at first, but you can correct the UG. I'm not sure about the newer style but the one I had, you had to drive a known distance, then go into the recalibrate menu and change the distance it reads to the known distance. How I did it was, start at a mile marker with the UG zero'd, then drive down a few miles and stop. If you drove 3 markers down then change the distance that the UG reads to 3 miles. The speed on your UG should read correctly after that. There is also a manual that you download that tells you how to recalibrate everything.

So this may have already been asked or even done or maybe it's a no freakin way it'll work situation.
Is there any way to wire this up so that the readout/display shows up in the rear view mirror where the backup camera is? Then just tuck he module out of the way somewhere.

Sorry Guys, not possible. You can however install it in place of the temp/compass display, but you can only see the lower half of the screen which displays 4 gauge, and you wont be able to access the buttons or menu without taking it all apart
(not sure what happened to the pic, but ive seen it before)

Yes this clarifies my question thanks for your help! My truck originally came with 30" tires on 18" bbs so i think mine was tuned diff from the guys with the 265/65s stock. I had it checked a while back by toyota because it seemed to read slow but i think they told me it was on "according to what they pre set it for that is". but anyways i now have 275/70r17s (32") and it reads slightly fast when i clocked it between mile markers.
I am sold on this gauge but am waiting to add my name bc i may order two gauges if.. does this work with an 03 LB7 Duramax?
also for the tacoma will this turn off the TPMS light? and did you ever find out which model gauge this is? EM1.2?

This GB is for the EM 1.2, it is their newest model and will come with newest firmware and features.

It will work with the other vehicle listed, as it is compatible with all 1994+ vehicle which should come OBD II complaint. If you have an OBD 2 port under your dash (which I'm 99.9999% sure you do) then it work great. Its only a matter of which gauges are available to be read on that vehicle. If you go to UG website you can look up what gauges are available for specific vehicles. If you have trouble finding it let me know and I'll get the link for you later when I get home

I guess if you have the guts to take apart your brand new UG and start probing the board. But it would require some pretty fine AV skills as well as great soldering skills to be able to make this work. I'm sure me and another local member could probably figure this out, but I don't want to risk messing up my UG for that. The only problem I see is resolution issues. It also has an ambient light sensor for self adjusting brightness... that would also have to be relocated as well. Anything is possible I suppose.
