    Not a stupid question! I'd have to say no, not gonna fit. That looks like a standard clevis hook, thimble is about 1" across at widest point.

    Personally, I'd ditch the hook and go with a shackle. Much, much safer - and looks better, too!

    Everything's boxed up and ready to go! Should be in the mail on Monday.

    Do you know if the gusseted thimble will fit in the Factor 55? I was a little surprised at the size of the gusseted thimble. It is definitely beefy.

    Barlowrs and I discussed this.. Don't think it would work.

    He's sending me a Viking "Stop" thimble to splice his winch rope into.
    There's actually been a few heated discussions over on Expo Portal regarding the Factor 55s, one of them actually pretty entertaining..

    I'd personally prefer the traditional gusseted thimble; especially at 1/10th the cost!

    Yes. It is the same one on the WARN synthetic line. So it WILL fit. I have the same thimble, and as I stated above, will be getting the Factor 55. Don't let them fool you, they are BIG. Offer the Bump stop on the rear of it too.

    The only way it wont fit is if the gusseted thimbles you have are the wrong sized ones. Looking at yours vs mine, they appear to be the same ones.
