This Group Buy will offer the TW community a special run of NST Lite series pulleys for the 4.0L 1gr V6. NST's ALT-Lite Alternator and WP-Lite Water Pump Pulleys
are lightweight versions of these OEM pulleys and are roughly 60% lighter than the OEM pulleys they replace.

WP Pulley OEM = 22oz NST = 10oz
ALT Pulley OEM = 10oz NST = 3oz
Crank Pulley OEM = 70oz NST = 40oz

You guys will have a choice of two colors: Red or Graphite Gray.

The results of such a modification are a noticeable improvement in throttle response, an upward shift in horsepower and torque curves across the entire RPM band, better gas mileage, and more BLING under the hood!

This will be Group Buy of NST pulleys and will only be available through 2/17/09. Each ALT-Lite and WP-Lite Pulley KIT (2pc kit) will cost $160 SHIPPED anywhere in the USA (Canada, HI and international shipments will be extra) and will ship via USPS services. Did I miss the part about which motor these are for? Should I assume for the 6 based upon the xrunner in the sig?

 

Do you have the weights ofthe stock vs NST crank pulley?
Also what is the normal cost of said items- how much of a saving is it.

It is for the 4.0L 1gr V6

 

Crank OEM = 70oz NST = 40oz

WP & ALT are $168+shipping and the crank pulleys are 148+shipping without the GB pricing

are they 168 for each?

 

$160 is for both the water pump and alternator pulley

 

are they easy to install yourself?

 

So the complete set, water pump pully and alt pully is 168 shipped? What level of difficulty is it to install these?

WP and ALT pulley are a 1 hour job, very easy

on a scale of 1-10 difficulty I would give it a 3

 

I did the cranck pulley myself, and besides having access to a good tourqe wrench, I was done in about little over half an hour.

And its 160 shipped, lets not raise the price now

 

Shane, would you mind posting a dyno sheet on what we can expect from installation? I would like to see what kind of HP and Torque gains can be expected. Thanks

 

we do not have any as far as I know unless someone has done any for the tacoma directly but I will pull some other dynos

 

If Im wrong I stand corrected, but we do know that these wont really produce HP, rather just allow your truck to shoot up to the higher RPM range faster. And we all know thats where the power is.

Now, Im not in no way savy with Dyno sheets but maybe there is away to see this comparison on one.
