    sooooooooooooooo has anyone ever seen the matress modified or more added?? The wife keeps complaining the mattress pad is too thin

    we are going to add a layer between the bottom and the matress itself as we noticed in cold weather with the wind, the mattress gets quite cold(just spent a weekend in the cold ~10F in the evening)

    i think memory foam isnt really an option in winter, I think it would just stay stiff

    I still use my self inflating air pad - I'm a side sleeper so I need to keep my shoulder and hip cushioned. Its comfy AND surprisingly warmer - if I ever roll off of it I know in a hurry because I get colder right away. Been thinking about getting a double wide one and leaving it in the tent (deflated)

    should be fine. I keep my old sleeping bag in there all the time and it adds about 2-3'' when folded up and it still closes.

    yah the wife and I are both side sleepers sooooo like you said support is everything..... I may try the memory foam thing well see, they sell lets of 3 to 4" thick pads all the time, just might suck as the pillow and shit will have to be in the cab instead.....
