I've still got my stockers so I threw those in the other day and started on my other ones. Figured it would save some time. Having 2 sets is real convenient

This is an awesome deal, I have been looking at doing my retro on my 01. Might have to pull the trigger this weekend. Will be nice when installing my Relentless bumper to install these at the same time. Now where did I put my wallet?

    Looky looky!

Really impressed with the quality and completeness of the kit right now. Everything is very organized, labeled, and even came with a test lead! Hoping the install goes smoothly!

Is painting the back of the cutoff shield worth it? Any other projector mods I should look into?

What do you mean a metallic color? I've just heard of people paint the back of it black so that the cutoff is sharper. Any opinions on powering everything up with an 18v battery? I don't have a 12v drill..

Most people paint the shield to get the demon eye look without having to install a led I painted mine and honestly the cutoff is no different

Gotcha, I thought that's what you were talking about. I'm about to post a question over in the what did you do to your tacoma today thread. Check it out and see if you have any ideas

You will not see much of the step when very close.
The step is only a few inches at 20ft... it's only about 1/8" on the fence itself.
It is just enough to allow the lights to be aimed so the "traffic side" gradually lowers and the "deer side" gradually rises.

Pick up a cheap motorcycle battery at Walmart.
Don't run them on 18v. The solenoids will probably survive short testing, but I wouldn't want to put that much into the ballasts.

Haha what projector do you have? Looks like it just needs to be rotated and aimed up
