What kind of prep work do you need to do to paint the shrouds? Will krylon be good enough without any prep work?

Yeah the fusion should be fine. You can use one of the alcohol pads that was included. Are you blacking out everything?

Should have checked the horizontal alignment before sealing it up.

That's too much angle (and VERY common on the Mini-H1) to correct by loosening and adjusting when installed.
That's going to have to come back out, opened up, projector removed, and file the mounting tabs until you can rotate it to level.

Hint: When looking at the front, through the lens of the projector you can see the low/high fence. Adjust the projector until the fence is in line with the horizontal line across the reflector bowl.

Just let every coat dry completely I primed mine but you'd be fine with no prep

I used Fusion on my reflector bowls with no more prep than a quick wipe-down with thinner.

No problem. I was considering leaving them but it's going to be easiest to hide the halo wires if I black it out. That was the original plan anyways

Is the krylon fusion high temp? Will 35w even get that hot? It's been a while since I've had hids and even then it was a cheap pnp kit.

Honestly I would take the bulb retainer off and loosen the nut and try and spin it without baking and reopening.

Dude I'm so excited for them. Conman117's truck is what made me want them..

His housings are painted gunmetal instead of black though

I'd aim them up first. When I first turned mine on, I was freaking out. After I brought them up (a lot of cranking on mine), they weren't as bad off horizontally, as they initially looked. Then you can try and rotate the projector after that. You can take the bulbs out, and the reach in and grab the giant nut and try and rotate the whole projector with your hand. If not, put some tape on your plier jaws, and grab the end of the threads, and rotate. There should be enough play to get them horizontal.

Waiting on it to get dark so I can go make sure they are level before sealing them back up. Already put the relay in and just need to mount the ballasts. Going to stick them to the inner fender on each side, only place there's room.
