Chris (aka Zilla68) Is a very reputable salesman, and great to do business with! I got a 32" LED Bar from him and he also purchased decals to include with his product off of me and also a pair of shoes. Each transaction worked out very smooth. This is the only pic I have of the mounts and it hardly gives it justice. I don't have a camera so I had to get a friend to take pics. Anyways, they bolt into the gutters. Note this is a temporary setup until I can make some theft resistant ones, just wanted to get the thing on and try it out.

 

Any wind noise? I would like something.like that, but I do a lot of highway driving. I'm afraid the noise would bother me.

 

There was no wind noise that I could notice, although I didn't get her over 60 mph (didn't take to the highway yet) I would imagine at highway speeds there'd be a little noise though. But hell, crank up the music and you won't hear a thing

I'll take it up to speed today and let ya know later this evening.

 

Any glare off the hood?

It does light up the hood a lil, but it doesn't produce an obvious glare. I thought it would play hell with my eyes but it's not bad at all. I set the bar about 4" back from the windshield and it worked out well. Def worth it IMO.

 

Do you remember what thread size / pitch those bolts are?

 

Damn....missed my delivery 2 days in a row. Just had it put on hold at a fed ex store so I'll pick it up today or tomorrow

 

The bolts are just regular old 3/8 @ 2 1/2", course-thread. I peeled back the headliner and gave them all respective flat and lock washers on the bottom. If you need more pics of the mounts I can get a friend over here and use his camera.

 

Did you use the factory holes for the factory roof rack or did you drill your own?

 

I was a lil nervous about it, but I hopped up there and drilled them myself. 5 holes total, used the same 3/8 bit to drill a hole for the wiring. Cut the rubber gutter liners to size so there's no gap where the mounts are. Also threw in some silicone to keep the wet stuff out.

 

Just showing off my old stuff from the first GB. this was the 20". You will not be dissapointed

I hear ya, I just wanted extra beef on the mounts. Lots of bumps where I live
