that works, correct me if im wrong though, UHMW, in my experience, tends to expand and contract with weather. I dont know if its cost affective for you but why not try acetal?

Whenever ive machined UHMW it is always a pain and "gums" up when cutting at times and is "porous" as it is a type of rubber. just curious as to your choice of that material. Great concept and might be getting one regardless!

I am looking at different material, and mounting options. Thanks for the input. UHMW machines well with a 2 flute high helix HSS end mill though. I think the tool marks are just cuz I didn't check the alignment on the head first.
