I posted this before, but just to make sure you are all aware: The PL5300 is going to replace the pl5200 altogether once it is released. this means that the PL5300 fits all '05-'09. If this changes anyone's mind let me know and I will fix it on my spreadsheet.

Here is the installation instructions to the power lock. It may look intimidating but it seems very easy. Just feed it along the drivers side and tap into the wires on the kick panel.

im in for the 2009 one. you dont have the electric one for 09 up though. does the 2008 electric one work on the 2009? would also like to know how the manual one works with the camera. is it relocated or something?

I wonder if i can wire the power Pop & Lock to my aftermarket Autopage alarm and then program one of the buttons to open and close the lock. Anyone hear of anyone doing this? I'm sure you can because Car Alarm brains are wired to activate actuators all time.

I'm sure the '05-'08 will work in an '09 for the power, but accommodating a camera is a different story. Yet another question on my list for her on monday!


Edit: Sorry for my misinformation, the '05-'08 will NOT fit the '09

Not sure how the alarm is wired into the trucks. But I do know that you wire the tailgate lock to the power lock wires so I think it opens an closes with your keyless entry. Are you trying to wire it up so you can open ONLY the tailgate from a separate button?
