    Is this still an option?

If so, I'd like to see pricing on a 50 qt.

I've been meaning to get mine up for a while too.

I already took it out on an outing, but I finally got it mounted in the back of the truck on a solid platform.

I can't say enough good things about Ben. If you wanted an ARB fridge this is a good deal.

I like the way you mounted the fridge to the platform. I have mine on a platform but I dont like how I mounted it. Did you get all the hardware online? I have the ARB straps already.

Real nice job there, looking good !!!

I just tried mine out on a legit family camping trip this past weekend, had it completely loaded, she worked great, I love it !!!

I'm not running dual battery yet, the built-in battery protect worked flawlessly, very happy with it.

I did however, go out today and buy a Diehard Platinum 34M marine battery, lol

Just a note for you all.

When I ran my fridge in Yosemite. It ran for 3 days straight and used 25% of my battery.

I have an Optima Yellow Top D27F and verified using the Optima Charger. I topped off the battery before I left and checked when I got home. However, it showed 75% before I topped off with only daily driving.

Was it only the fridge during those 3 days?

Yeah, drove in, parked and the truck sat until I drove home. The fridge is wired up directly to the battery.

How does the yellow top compare to the diehard marine battery so many of us have?

I have no idea. The only batteries I have used on this truck are the factory and current Yellow Top.

close your eyes and pick one... price is close as well

I chose the Diehard because they're easy to exchange if needed, the marine is nice with the extra posts with wing nuts for hooking up ring terminals. And I was skeptical about Optima's quality control based on testimonies floating around. Can't go wrong with either battery though...

With the little 575 CCA battery I had, the fridge was set to Hi protect... Woke up, noticed fridge was still kicking on, temp set to 33F... Cooked breakfast, noticed the battery protect kicked in. Started truck for 15 mins... hour later the protect kicked in again... Went for a ride, hour or so later protect kicked in, it was also hotter than hell and humid out... Second night, set the protect to medium, fridge made it all night into the morning again, we packed up by 11:00 and right before leaving noticed the protect kicking in again.

Anxious to see how this Diehard does on our next trip. I'm very confident in the battery protectection however until I get an Aux battery installed. There was plenty of people floating around the campground if I had needed a jumpstart so I wasn't worried about putting it to the test somewhat. My 3.4L was able to crank right up with whatever voltage the Med level had left me with.
