    FAQ Section

Do you guys sells panels to mount these switches? Rectangular holes are hard to cut!

Yes! We offer laser cut panels from ABS plastic or carbon fiber. If you look at the webstore under “Panels”, you’ll find different general sized panels for installing 2 switches up to 6. Custom sized panels can also be created if you provide us with the dimensions. For information regarding custom sized panels email us at info@blitzpro.com

I bought a switch panel with too many slots, but I’ll probably use them later. The empty slots look so lonely. What do I do?

Glad you asked. We sell panel plugs for this exact reason. Use the panel plugs to fill the slots until you know what switch you are going to put in there.

Do you have instructions and hardware for installing the switch?

Yes! Every switch is packaged with instructions and the necessary quick disconnect terminal hardware to crimp onto your existing wiring harness.

Will these fit Daystar, ARB, sPod (insert other brand switch and panel)?

Yes, our switches are designed to fit panel cut outs with 0.830” x 1.450” dimensions. Daystar, ARB, sPod and most other accessory manufacture use the same dimension for their switches, however, our actuator covers are slightly wider than the typical ones. You should have at least 11/64” (4.3mm) between each slot to allow the actuator to freely move.

Are the actuator covers compatible with Daystar, ARB, sPOD, and etc?

Yes! You can fit our actuator covers on all the above brand switches. Any switch that is similar to the Carling Contura switch base is compatible with our actuator covers.

Do you sell laser etched actuator covers by themselves?

Yes! When choosing switch type on the webstore, just choose “Cover only.”

How do I remove the actuator cover from my switches

There is a nifty tool for that that is available in the webstore, however, you can also use a flat plastic pry tool to lift up gently on each pivot point. We don’t recommend it as it could damage the switch body, but it works in a pinch.

Any questions, want something custom? email us: info@blitzpro.com

They definitely do. After you pop out the panel plug, you'll need to file down the tabs on the inside, but otherwise it'll fit in there nice and snug afterwards. :D

i'm sure the first step is ordering the right switch, but if it is purely wiring please feel free to order the on/off and tell me if it works for my application.

First if it's on/off you are right, it also has to have 2 separate LED lights (one for the top and one for the bottom) with the right rocker for it. If you want the bottom light to stay on when it's 'off' you will need constant 12v power to it from your source, if you want the top to be on when the accy is on just wire the hot to it from the tap on the back side of the switch.

I apologize the options are confusing. The "Switch Type" section was not updated prior to the page going live.

The "Switch Type" option refers to the switch's function. The basic SC1 switch is an ON/OFF switch. SC2 is a momentary (ON)/OFF switch - meaning the ON position will spring back to the OFF position the moment you lift off the switch. This is most commonly used for switching horns, flashers, and the like. For the purposes of this group buy, we're going to mainly focus on these options. There are other switch types, such as 3 position switches ie: ON/ON/OFF or ON/OFF/ON, but these are for more specific application like winch operation or headlamp controls.

The basics are as Large stated. There are two LED indicators for all our switches except for our non-lit switches. The bottom LED is an independently wired, while the top is dependent on the switch's position.

The bottom LED will light up if you wire it to an ignition powered source. If you would like the bottom to come on with your interior lights, then you will need to tap a power source that is linked to your interior lights.

The top LED will light up when the switch is in the ON position.

The LEDs will illuminate assuming you properly wire and follow the wire diagram included with each switch.

Is it possible to get a switch with the writing/image sideways? The 1st gens have two switch spots below the ashtray but they are horizontal. So have the switch be pushed right=on, pushed left=off (or vice versa)

Absolutely possible. I didn't think there would be that many that needed the switches oriented horizontally in the Tacoma community hence I didn't show the option. When you place your order, in the note to seller section, let us know which switches or if you'd like all your switches oriented horizontally.
