    Does anyone here have any pics of where they mounted their solenoid? I can't get it to fit in any useable location. The bumper or the grill is always in the way of the plug. I don't want to elongate wires :(

    Good luck with that! My wife has picked all 4 houses we've bought/sold. That strategy along with fixing up each one to her liking is great in theory, but never works out the way you plan;)

    I have the exact same winch and I mounted the solenoid right there but with the grill installed I can't get to it... :notsure: I'm considering in cab winch controls now haha

    Wireless controller? That's a thing...

    I made it work though, not all too happy with it. Basically I jerry rigged the mount, attached it in the middle of the bracket and angled it down. There's not a lot of room but there's some. It only occasionally sparks at me trying to plug it in ;)

    You're gonna burn your shit down and there is no lol after that.

    Last trip we went on one of the guys fried his winch and wires and you don't want to be that guy on a narrow path. Take it out Do it again. For in can controls is super easy. And I can walk you through it no problem. Look in my pics and you'll see where I mounted my controller box and then just run the wires from there into the cab. Also take that time to re seal your control box. Mine was "waterproof" too until it wasn't.

(This just basically shows how I took everything apart on the winch right when I got it and put new grease in and resealed the solenoid, mine is "waterproof" but I am a firm believer in preventative maintenance)

    It got changed a few times and quick doodling on the phone before I decided on that. The rear is getting installed tonight and the rack is on. So its slowly coming together
