Hey guys these are fully fabricated ,bolt on solid motor mounts for 4.0 V6 2005+ Tacoma's. They replace the stock, two piece motor mounts. Going from the engine block to the frame mount with a bushing in between.

Landon and Bonzen have built numerous solid mounts and have a great reputation in the industry. Since getting these installed, I have noticed an increase in throttle response and overall accelerating is much more solid.

They're going to do a run of 5 (or more) for $400 a set. After the first group these will retail at $450. These WILL be the last motor mounts you ever have to replace on your truck.

Keep in mind that nobody makes solid mounts for 2nd generation tacomas yet. Please message Supermoto or Bonzen if you are interested in a set.

+1. I should probably do the mount gusset first.

Anything in the works to reinforce the frame in the area of the mount?

I've never broken a mount but I've caved in the frame twice; once on each side.

I have their gussets on my motor mounts. I guess I should've worded that better, is anyone plating their frame when they cut off the stock motor mount to put on solid mounts like these?

You dont have to cut anything off for these..but im not sure about the plating. These and the dmz gussets should be a solid setup.
The stock rubber mounts are pretty weak when you start beating on it offroad. These are a permanent fix to that issue.

Nice to see this getting some attention. Landon and I are getting close to having the prototype set finished, and these will be test fitted and installed on rcfreak201 truck in the near future. Id guesstimate that we are about 10 hours of solid work away from a completed set. The 4.0L mounts have presented a few challenges that the 3.4L mounts did not so it's taking a little extra time to work some of the design bugs out and think some things through.

Thanks for the post rcfreak201 and for the opportunity to design and build these mounts, but fyi my original 3.4L motor mounts were designed and built by myself and ESB back in 2003. The design hasn't changed and I have built probably 20+ sets of these over the years since. The set of motor mounts that you posted a picture of for reference that are for the 3.4L were built at Landon's shop recently, (where we are designing and building the 4.0L mounts) I think that's where your confusion was, no biggie man :) But yes Landon and I are very confident that everyone will be happy with the new product and if there is one thing you DO NOT want to fail on an offroad truck it is the engine mounts.

2nd set built and shipped off to JordanSmith127!

rcfreak201 went testing in Barstow a few weeks ago, everything worked out great from what he told us. Another side benefit of the solid mount design besides the peace of mind that your engine wont collapse onto your frame is increased throttle response as your motor no longer "lifts" independently from the chassis...all the energy is sent straight down the drivetrain to your wheels. I liken the feel to going up one jump in gear ratio...

Ready to build many more! Our next project will be a solid transmission mount to complete the package and offer even more reliability and throttle response. PM myself or Landon if you want to place an order. We can turn these around in under a week usually.

I've had these on for a couple weeks daily driving and twice in the dirt, and they're a great improvement. On road there are some vibrations at idle but they disappear once you start rolling. Like bonzen said, the throttle response is noticeably better with these.

The biggest difference is accelerating in the dirt through washes and whoops. With the stock mounts I could feel the motor flopping around and the sluggish acceleration. These definitely increased my confidence in the truck and not worrying about going through rougher terrain.

I'll be waiting for the solid tranny mount!

For some reference here's a video of my buddies truck in pismo. From 3:15 onwards you can see how much the motor moves with stock mounts.
