I spoke with Bobby from CVT as well and he says there will be another group buy for 2015 and it will be somewhere around the March timeframe. He hopes to be more prepared with his in-stock inventory for the surge in demand for tents coming from the group-buy. AKA he wants to do a better job for us, seems like a great guy! When ready, he will give us all the details. To help him out, I want to start a list of the people who are serious about being part of the 2015 Group Buy. This way he will have an idea of how many tents he's dealing with. Please send me a PM with your name and what tent you would be interested in and we will go from there.

Any ideas on how to make this more efficient would also be helpful.

I think last year's group buy got out of hand for a lot of reasons. A lot of orders were placed by people who were not on the forums, the discount code was posted all over the internet allowing anyone access to it. It created a lot of stress for the CVT crew, they tried to do something nice for us and it ended up in complete chaos. I trust that Bobby and the rest of the crew did everything they could but I know some folks were disappointed. I hope this year goes much more smoothly for all involved.

I would suggest a shorter time frame for the GB (last year was a month, year before was 2 weeks), 2 weeks seems reasonable
People should have to PM Bobby for the code or provide their forum member name with their order and be a member prior to the announcement of the GB.
Limit the quantity of tents sold with priority given to existing forum members. Last year was crazy with hundreds of tents sold - again because word of the GB spread beyond the forums.

Love my CVT tent, the Rainer is HUGE! Yet it fits over the 6ft box perfectly.

I need this. I think I want a Ranier. If it's in May maybe I could take a detour and pick up on my way south for Moab!
