Thanks for the answer, one last question.. do we know when the group buy will close, is there a definite date?

"To keep it simple anyone committed can contact me that way and I will require a $100 non-refundable deposit regardless of what you order. Once we reach 20 people I will begin ordering materials and start collecting payments for the remaining amount including shipping. If people order beyond the first 20 I will simply collect full payment from them when they order."

I had mentioned the 14th. That keeps it open for 2 weeks and about a half day. I'm on my phone right now but when I get home I will update the OP as several members have PMd me and a bunch of others have made their deposits already! Thanks to everyone who has already jumped in on this great deal and hopefully others will join in soon!

Where about in Utah are you located? Is pickup available? If others have orders from the same area (Denver), or along the route, I'd be up for picking them up and dropping them off along the way. As long as you're not too far into Utah and it wouldn't slow down the order delivery process.

    I'm in for sure.

Deciding what stuff I want to go with and will PM/email shortly.

Located right near the salt lake area. Local pickup is definitely available

Great, and I am assuming that I shouldn't have a problem fitting multiple racks in a short bed? I'll have two for myself and possibly at least three others. And about what do they weigh each since I dont want to be resting on bump stops either :)

I'm waiting to head outside to see if there is a model number on my topper and then I'll send my email/PM over.

Assembled they are tough to fit and can get scratched up. I will have them boxed up though and you can fit them just fine. They each way about 40 lbs boxed up. I have carried 10-11 to UPS at a time without a problem.

FYI I have 9 deposits so far which means the the 15% off discount is nearly achieved in the first day. Nick should be updating the OP to show who has paid. Shouldn't be hard to reach 20 people but the end. If we pass 20 orders I will start looking at trying to incorporate some giveaways.

I added it into my email I just sent, but is there a difference in how it mounts to a Yakima or Thule track or do they mount the same and you just need the distance between them.

My topper has none, I'll buy them and install them at whatever distance works easiest for you, just want to see if they are interchangeable and figured others may have the same question.

edit: and does anyone know what they are actually called or a part/model number? My quick search for yakima or thule tracks did not get too far. guessing they are called something fancy.

They are essentially the same tracks. Width is the only thing I need to know. 42" on center is preferable as that will put the rack exactly the same width as the cabrac. I see them as narrow as 35" though with the majority being 37-40". Mine are 39".

    Try these

Yes! Let's keep going! I would very much like 25% off, but that's purely for selfish reasons.

OK, I guess I'll throw a tape on my topper and see what width will work.

What is the recommended or common length of them, or what does the TOPRAC need at a minimum? I found these which are also compatible with both and go from 36" - 78"
