I talked to shoptrd today and they are not able to offer any group buy discounts. He said the online prices are as low as they can go especially since they are offering free shipping on the CAI and exhaust.

Someone may want to check with trdparts4u but I know thats a sensitive subject for many.

 

why is that? i think i've ordered from them before w/o any problems?

 

there was a member on the forum who got his truck damaged by the dealership (Toyota of Dallas) while it was in their control and the situation did not resolve positively and so many no longer use trdparts4u since it is the parts department for that dealership, search and you will find the threads.

I sent an email off to my local dealership to see if they could check into doing a groupbuy for the catback and for how much, awaiting response.

 

FYI, cost to the dealership is roughly $360
Shipping for something like that would probably be $20 to $35

 

so are we dead in the water with this GB?????

I went ahead and ordered from shoptrd.com, got impatient. Shipped on the 12th.

 

No luck the parts guy I know wants to but the bean counter above him wont let him do it. I am officially out, I'm getting screwed, my douche bag of a landlord doesnt know how to pay his bill's so the house I'm leasing is going to foreclosure. Supercharged dreams down the drain.

How much did you buy from shoptrd + shipping? Is this an ez mod? Looks like just 2 bolts. Any instructions or advice on install, please let us know. I'd be interested for a GB, but it may not happen.

 

It was $357.50 shipped. Shipped on the 12th, arrived and installed on the 15th. Install took all of 15 min and didn't require jacking up the truck. It really is just the two bolts. Hardest part was getting the hangers off which was easily fixed with a little spray lubricant. I love it so far. Sound is perfect imho. Louder but not obnoxious.

 

I hope they still have this deal in a couple of months. Post up some pics if you have them!
