do these fit without modification? i read in another thread that you need to bed clips and grind certain fittings for them to fit. please let me know.

if you're in orange county california, maybe we can meet up.

    Hi there,
No these lines do not require any mods to fit. I'm in oc but work 70+ hours a week so meeting up might be a little difficult. Either way pm me and we will try and set something up.

Got the lines installed this weekend. Great quality, quick shipping, great communication from JP (OCTaco).

    Thanks again man!

My personal advice if you want to run these with a 3"-3.5" lift:

Get 3"-4" longer lines for the rear for maximum travel extension.
Get 1"-2" for the front. Mine were 4" extended, and they are WAY too long, there's no way my travel will ever get that low, even with all the suspension disassembled and at full droop.

The pedal feel is improved, especially if you have to pump the brakes you can definitely feel more positive pressure in the pedal. I seem to feel less pulsing in the brakes when slowing down quickly from highway speeds.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with them, just wish the fronts weren't so damn long (1" extended should be fine for a 3" lift).

    Hi Benson,

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the lines are too long for you upfront. If it's possible for you to send them back I can have my buddy modify them for you at no cost. If you are interested, please PM me so we can coordinate this effort.

^^^Awesome JP, this is just one example of the excellent service you provide.

I will try to work out getting these back to you to be shortened, and keep you posted with any updates.

i got mine yesterday. thanks for the quick processing.

is there a step by step of how to install these? i found an old thread that talks about dremeling a bracket but i'm not sure if those were the same lines / fittings / group buy. that thread also mentions loose brackets or something.

is it as simple as unscrewing the old ones and installing the new ones? do i need to buy any crush washers or new clips?

are there any tricks? will the threads strip easily? any information on how to make the install go as painlessly as efficiently as possible is greatly appreciated!

    edit:

here is the thread i'm talking about: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/181604-stainless-brake-line-install-issues.html

    Hi,

The lines do not require any special mod's to be installed. It's as easy as removing the old ones and installing the new ones, then you bleed the lines. There have been some issues with the hard lines due to over-tightening from factory. In this case it's sometimes easier just to buy new hard lines.

There aren't any threads that give you a good how to, but there are numerous youtube videos that will walk you threw the entire process.

Here is one I found very informative:
