I've never owned one, but I've heard nothing but bad stuff about them. Just no personal experience with them.

it was the NRA handgun of the year in 2005. i've shot a few but don't own one. i had no problems out of the ones i've shot. i do own the taurus pt145 which appears to be nothing more than a compact version of the 24/7. i've very happy with my pt145 and it is very reliable.

I have the pt145 and love it. Just shot 100 rounds through it the other day its extremely smooth and feel very comfortable carrying it. I have a S&W Sigma 9mm and this .45 shoots so much better than the 9....remember the .40 is just a suped up 9mm in my opinion. Go for the .45 no matter which one you want.

I dont know about hte 24/7 specificaly but Taurus guns are guarenteed for life, doesnt matter if you bought it or not you can send it to them via their depot in Florida and they will fix it free and send it back. You have to pay for shipping and if you dont have a FFL you have to pay someone to ship and receive for you. just my .02:D
