People pay to come here and shoot goats, it's not like the goat is just watching you come up to it, their just as finicky as deer, nothing like domestic goats.

I’m assuming they are not indigenous and introduced as domestic animals that then became feral? On an island that can be devastating to the environment and therefore fun for the hunter… Great shot with a 22 long rifle…

Wow awesome shot with a .22! Funny how people are amazed that goats don't have to be yard pets all the time, just like shooting ducks.

Yup, those damn things are harder to stalk than deer, I'll get some pics up though, we usually bow hunt the cattle but lately I've been using a .308, I need a new bow.

Nice shot and I agree on the taste of goat. That stuff is aweful. I've tried it a few different ways and they all taste aweful! A .22 is a bad ass little round in the right gun with the right shooter.

Yup, difficult but do able, that's the only way we usually hunt them, the only reason I use a rifle now is cuz I sold my bow.

Are they as bad as the feral pigs down south in TX and florida? What kind of gun do you need for the cattle? I'd think elk gun if they're like the cows we have here?

    I wanted an MT.
We (me and my girlfriend) raise Boer Goats (native to south africa), her daughters show them at the county fair here, do an indepth project on them, and then sell them for meat. I don't eat our goats, but i do eat goat, i was introduced to it in the Dominican Republic and i loved it. And great job on helping keep a non-native species in check.
