    back to bone stock.
    both montec sharpeners work "ok".

i ALWAYS use the practice head! not so much to preserve my hunting broadheads, but to protect ME. i cut myself (nick myself, really) with the practice head. yanking them out of my Rinehart 18-1 is dangerous..heheh. if i had a sharp head, it would bleed to death.

i am a strong advocate of using a practice head. if i wasnt, i would shoot the SNUFFER SS, which is a montec copy..only sharper right out of the box.

I shoot montec 100 grain. Do I have to do any special adjusting to make them fly correct? No, they fly just as my field tips do. One thing to make sure of when shoot montec is or any broadhead for that matter is your form as well as how u hold the bow during and after shot. Making sure u don't jerk, torque or anything with a montec could throw it off. But I'm assuming everyone is comfortable with there bow and knows how to properly shoot you will enjoy shooting these incredible broadheads :) montec ftmfw!

been shootin montecs since i started bow hunting. never got a chance at a deer, cuz CA sucks D&*^, but the hog huntin is great. montecs have been doing work for me, only lost one of my 6 so far. woulda been seven. but it was a pass through every time, durable, one piece, hell u can hit a rock, file it down and still sharpen it and use it

however, with all this tech coming out, one of my buddys uses the meatseekers, heard seen the damage those things do, and i gotta try em.

you will never find anything as durable as montec.. Plain n simple!! 1 piece solid steel, no mechanical parts, no need to switch to "practice blades". Breaks right through bone like a hot knife through butter,

no special adj. Throw old broadheads away put montecs on never buy new ones again. I just picked up the sharpner today, i had my montecs for 1 year and killed many deer, coons, turkeys etc and havent sharpened them once. They were due for a good ol sharpenin.

You will be please when you shoot montec, i have pursuaded many people into montecs and everyone thanks me.
